The Queen's Platinum Jubilee! and Other News - article by Sophie Cox-O'Shaughnessy

It's 18:22 on the 22nd of March 2022 when I'm starting writing this particular blog of mine.  "I read the news today..."*

Anyways, this is on:-

A royal visit in commemoration of the Queen's Jubilee, and it reminded me, these are available from the local council, in Preston:-

What's your local council doing in honour of the Queen's Jubilee?!

Contribute to the environment and be eco-friendly, c'mon!

My first hat I have ever knitted going towards Little Boxes of Hope:

A friend of mine who knits all the time inspired me and I offered to help so I'm not sending it personally, this time - at least I hope (pun intended!) it gets there, and they're not playing frisbee with it!

I started this project last year and continued with it again recently steaming ahead.

I can't really call myself (with a hard k) Captain Knitter yet, I don't think, but maybe there's hope for me yet!  (Yes, another pun intended, also!)

I'm Just Sittin'

Here Doin'My Knittin'!

Not bad for a first attempt, me thinks.

Next stop something for Ukrainian refugees **Definitely Maybe!

NB

My relative article for In Other News also refers to Mother's Day, it would seem.  This is also again this weekend and I shall be especially remembering my mum (who passed on 26/04/2021).

I'm sure my mum would like this:  I shall also be celebrating my motherhood, regardless!
