"Immigrants" seeking refuge, again and again.

We're all just people In this one land Called Earth

I experienced some scams on marketplace on Facebook...

And, nevertheless,

Courtesy of the no fault section 21. (your behaviour can be faultless, however a landlord can relinquish property back regardless) I am looking to re-home a well used, but much loved upright piano.

But, remember, if you're seriously interested, a piano is for life It's not just for Christmas !

So, the piano needs to be rehomed in/by early January. 

It's a Chappell make, in good working order, some wear and tear to be expected and with only a few superficial deficits, it's a bargain.

It has a, very, interesting history:

Originally offered to me, also for free (I just needed to make the delivery arrangements) by the primary school, Queens Drive, I provided it for the musical development of and for my son. 

Then, years later I was privileged to make it my own.

What with The Queen's passing in recent years, etc., I think it's history is very special .

Film Review: Barbie Blog By Sophie Cox-O'Shaughnessy

 Barbie The Movie is a real feel good movie.

And, my Barbie, pictured here, the original Barbie, well she thinks it is wonderful also, naturally!

Intrigued as to why the film would be banned, as it says in the media (in a few middle Eastern countries), I decided to partake of the Barbie journey, watch the movie for myself and in true Barbie style make my own mind up so to speak.

However, as you can see I have always loved my Barbie, and never gave her up, going to watch an apparently hyped up storyline on the said theme seemed to be another kettle of fish.

Nevertheless, with an open mind and my Barbie on hand to contribute an informed opinion, ahem, I "ken" safely say I never needed to be converted! Pun intended!

[Thus said, having been fortunate enough to visit a few middle Eastern countries both on holiday and religious exploration, dare I say, possible pilgrimage invitation, before now, I have always experienced a most polite and friendly reception wherever this has occurred.]

A Blog Regarding the recent untimely passing of Sinead O'Connor By Sophie Cox-O'Shaughnessy

I am very saddened to recently hear of the passing of the protest Singer/Artist Sinead O'Connor, God rest her soul and may she find her eternal peace in the heart of her God as there is only one God and Messengers etc. of God all shine from the same lamp.

I am so grateful for all she was and stood for.

I am so sad that she did not get the support and or recognition that she deserved in her living years.

I am so sorry for all the suffering that she persevered.  I could relate, however to be tested beyond endurance is the severest of tests.  Thank God for Artists such as Sinead O'Connor.

I am about to move on, because of a Section 21. - the after life is similar to the state of pregnancy - the child in the womb grows and is yet to be born. Travel on On your spiritual journey Sinead!

I got my first professional (paid) job at eleven years old.

This Is the Aladdin pantomime,

at The Southport Theatre, on the promenade Starring Tommy Trafford, Linda Lee Lewis and Keith Hopkins!

Here I am, as a Singer/Dancer Babe with one of the Chorus Singer/Dancers, Tracy - who became my penpal God bless her!

So, today,  I endeavour to inspire the next generation with my teaching the performance arts/Music etc. endeavours! This includes adults and children. You are never too old to learn!

It does not escape me

that my costume, in this photo, is The Preston colours: blue and white; that I have lived here, no less, in this, city, at least 22 years And at my current address, this year, also eleven years

Though to be given a section 21., and not to be at fault in receiving one, tho. to then be in a position to have to, possibly leave one's settled place (and, yet again) is, no less, yes a challenge.

Though, as always, I continue to endeavour to meet challenges throughout life, as alot of my neighbourhood friends have become like family to me now I shall not dismiss that it is becoming a difficult decision to make.

Until then, in due course, I hope to make new neighbourhood friends yet again, if and when, need be.

Couldn't believe it...!

Though, only found out just last night.

Well, (due to the dreaded curse: Section 21. ...)

I am, continuing, trying to find another place to move to and keep my current job as well as maintain my sanity, at the moment. 

Anyway, I am, I admit, devastated, to say the least.

What an Icon.  Though, as a survivor of domestic violence, I, personally, found Tina Turner, to be a true trail blazer, inspiration and needless to say such an amazing artist to continue to be inspired by.

Also, suffering great loss, though finding solace in practicing the seeking of peace through meditation, I, along with, the whole world, I guess, related to her.

Thank you Tina!

Also, thank you for 'strutting your stuff' up on high rigs, on stage, and giving the stagehands the said challenge.  I have always thought that So Awesome.

So, I have had this album: (see following pic )

For forever, it seems.

It has always given me solace, comfort, strength and inspired and, as I am listening to it again, right now, continues to do so.

What a trooper! What an amazing woman! What a talented artist!

Smiling!

Recently, in the UK, we celebrated Mother's Day!

A universal celebration, from country to country, it occurs on various days throughout the year.

Yes, this blog, my topic, is about Mother's Day.  However, I am celebrating this beautiful soul, my son, and here I present a photo of us And I title it Smiling!

As an artist, I am a very private person.

Though, "reaching out", "these days", is a key component in harnessing unity, harmony and communication with our kindred spirits etc..

Thus, I am sharing this/opening up, as an artist, who is also a mother.

So why not post on the actual day? Well, quite frankly, my dear, as I'm sure you would prefer, I was having a lovely day enjoying myself, just doing something and nothing!

Though, you know,...

Sometimes the path you choose to take does not appear to where you thought it ever would.

In my opinion this does not mean it is any the less valuable.

This day, we visited "Turbo Ted's,", my son loved exploring all of the padded/cushioned and spaces within spaces stimuli.  Nothings changed there then!

I feel this photo captures Us Smiling And, my son Opening a window of 'the house:, his mother, me, looking on, watching, making sure he is safe, while having fun.  A quarter of a century on, more or less, this can still be done, even if, it's not hands on! (And, yes, so what!  I'm proud enough to admit my years, for '25' is the blessed day of Our Lord .)

I love you son 🥰

Keep opening your window to the world, with your wonderful smile Always, know, I am here, with good heart smiling upon you Whether you "see" me or not.

Okay, So, Once Upon A Time....

So, I believed in: research, background, doing "other" jobs as part of the Whole of music, the arts and theatre etc. as well, as encompassing it all To gain Further Experience (even though ...) So, Then, I Got A Job (to gain furthermore experience as a backstage attendant) As. An. Usherette.  What The Hell..!...

But, then, These Amazing Musicians appeared on the scene And they inspired me Alot!

When, honestly, I admitted I'm "a poor musician", one of the band members, kindly, (freely) [Don't tell their Manager This!...] gave me their CD for nowt (...with bread taken out! it's true! and, at that time, oh, gosh, phew!..):-
