If You Haven't Already Get On It and Support Paddy McGuinness's Fundraiser Blog by Sophie Cox-O'Shaughnessy

I've been following the process and progress of the Radio Presenter, Paddy McGuinness's cycling challenge to raise funds for Children in Need.

This year, I was fortunate to attend the Radio 2. in the Park in Preston.

As a musician, I often think I ought to be attending more music festivals.

However, as a person who doesn't like crowds I haven't.

I overcame this, as this opportunity upon my doorstep was something I really thought I ought to appreciate.

I'm so glad I did.

Along with the live acts that were brilliant it was really interesting to see radio presenters in person.

Here's Paddy McGuinness doing his stuff:

And, if you haven't already, get on it and, donate, to this very worthy cause and awesome fundraiser process for

Children In Need this year!

Re. new Oasis News Blog by Sophie Cox-O'Shaughnessy

Maybe

This is a bit of good news, or ought I to say, Definitely Maybe ?!

Aha!

Anyway, well, yes, as a Blogger and an Artist, I like to write, of course, "the blog".

Though, attaining an A-Level in English Language and Literature in one year, a fair few years after leaving school, and, completing a Creative Writing module as part of my Degree, has attributed to this hobby, but, dare I say?!  well, yes, I shall!  vocation of mine.

So, I spotted this pic. today, no less (as in, they make an announcement, also, today) in my "memories" on the social platform, yes, you guessed it, Facebook, and, it inspired me, to write a blog BCos, well not only is this photograph relevant it's pretty interesting:

The Ferret, aka The Mad Ferret is now, well, known as kinda The music venue in Preston, Lancashire. It's also been supported by Ed Sheeran, received funding (much sought after and well earnt) from the Council as well as going to be developed with help from other backers - as far as I know.

And, this photo is from when I performed at The Ferret, with the mural of Oasis as the backdrop, then.

(I continue to support The Ferret when I can.)

So, here I am [See pic.], only 14 years ago, (and, my biceps are just as strong, if not more, ahem, "maybe", No, they're definitely, much more than just maybe, as is my repertoire That's also so much more aswell as is my musical prowess - well, let's just say, as I am, let's face it promoting Oasis by even writing this blog, in true Gallagher brothers style This is what I'm talking about!)

I think, that That actually could have been the longest insert/bracket I have evor written, no, it's Definitely Maybe up there with the best of them.

Every punn intended!

Anyhow,

 Good Luck OASIS!

PLUG: Jo Whiley's Sinéad O'Connor Show By Sophie Cox-O'Shaughnessy

I am thankful to and for Sinéad O'Connor and her legacy.

Thanks to the brilliant radio presenter Jo Whiley's (Radio 2.) recent show themed: Remembering Sinéad O'Connor: from her passing one year ago, btw the show's ongoing - check it out It's Obvs ace - "A Life In Ten Songs" as regards to Sinéad's best songs ever. I'm guessing Tho., again it's always going to be personal choice; I'm sure it's fabulous And it's definitely on my To Do list.

However, in the mean time, as an avid radio listener, I keep catching Sinéad's songs on Jo's shows.

"Troy", I listened to this evening, it's amazing - I'm.not sure if I've heard it before, though I just keep on learnin'!

I'm my experience:

Sinéad O'Connor was very generous. She very kindly gave me her permission, via my request and her agent to feature her song in my Reach Out video:

https://handeldoesit.blogspot.com/2023/07/a-blog-regarding-recent-untimely.html

Regardless of the situation/my circumstances I shall always be grateful for this.  However, I shall reiterate this: the message, if my video, still, stands. I love ❤️ you son, Jerome, and always will.

Thank you Sinéad O'Connor.

Transporter Safety A Blog By Sophie Cox-O'Shaughnessy

Hello Are you lookin' for me?!

Ah, well, that isn't the way we do things around here...!

Preston, Lancashire, UK Transport Safety!

Now This "me lady' is putting this Warning out Right now!

We Don't Tolerate Such!

I have every confidence in my bus drivers. They have such patience and endurance, (imho) and, in my experience!

We, the British public,... are, If you're not going to say it, I'll say it for you, I'm extremely grateful for the bus price cap via our government.

Regardless of who they are now/were before!

Ahem, the evidence:

However, this bus driver, driving, also shared "he'd be in for it".  When being honest!.  (Blah blah blah Any Big Company can do the "disciplinary procedure"!...)

I tell you what!

I'm not very interested in all that malarchy, at all.

So, us, that got transferred to another bus, well anyway, I really hope it was just protocol and you "didn't get done at work" mister bus driver.

I'm just glad, that from my own efforts I got to work on time, regardless.

I, me, myself and I (Oh well, I have always wanted to say that!) "would witness to it, as I was sat right at the front/you couldn't get any closer!" that something clipped the bus, whatever be it, there really wasn't anything like a lampost or anything and the bus certainly didn't feel like it was on the kerb.

I feel fortunate that it wasn't more serious.

Hmmm, however, food for thought, me thinks!  Hmmmm!...

Horrific News Blog by Sophie Cox-O'Shaughnessy

Regarding the crossbow murders incident from yesterday, I cannot imagine the extent of pain that the recent tragedy will be.

However it is good to see the BHA and jockeys honouring and supporting by rallying around for the BBC Racing Commentator.

[Although it is horrendous news and no doubt affects exceptionally many people I would like to thank Bluebell Livery and Stud, Willowsway Stud, Larkrigg Riding School, Midgeland Riding School, Myerscough College and Eccleston Equestrian Centre for supporting me in my efforts to acquaint myself with the care of horses.]

I, personally, haven't ever been into horseracing, though as a learner I have experienced one or two horses who have tried to race with me on them!

I will never forget, as a little girl when my pet tortoise escaped and I found her racing, down the middle of the road, towards McCains' stables at the bottom of our road where I grew up.

I'm posting these photos in support of the Racing Commentator John Hunt and his family.

My thoughts are with and prayers for John Hunt and his family in their tragic loss.
